Shirley Kwok


Shirley Kwok

Financial Manager

Shirley was borned and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated with a degree in accounting in Hong Kong and her family moved to Texas, USA after she graduated from University. She then got her CPA in Texas and worked there for 10 years. Shirley moved to China in 2003 because of her husband's job. She has working experience with both commerical firm and Non-Profit Organization in the past. Joining CRC may help her to use her professional knowledge to help the needed people, especially children.

Program Manager

Sunny has been working with NPO for 6 years in Sichuan Province and 7 years with industrial companies in Shanghai, which equipped her with solid working experience in office and operations. Sunny joined CRC in early 2015, in charge of all the program. Working in CRC team, taking care of clients and recipients to ensure the transparency and accountability of sponsorship to children in the countryside.

Jo worked in the function of sales and marketing in multinational corporate for 8 years before joining CRC. She joined CRC since March 2016, and her role is business development and marketing, helping corporations to implement CSR programs.

Xia Ding is the Vice President, Nielsen Greater China and a proven business leader. Her specialities are entrepreneurship, knowledge of the supply chain (domestic and cross-border) and finance, including M&A. In 1996, she got MBA in International Business and Finance from Babcock Graduate School of Management, in NC, US, and has developed the Hanes Brands Inc. in China for the past 8 years. Xia has a passion to involve businesses in CSR and help build better communities for the children in China.

Tim is a Canadian citizen living in Canada but working in China. Tim owns Accurpress Suzhou, a company located in Taicang, Jiangsu, that builds machinery for bending, punching and cutting metal. He has been travelling to China and India since 2003. In his travels he has developed a great interest in meeting people and exploring culture, cuisine, architecture and history. Change, progress and wealth-creation are happening at a rapid pace in Asia but, as elsewhere, there are those people who are not benefitting from the increase in wealth and education and medical care. He hopes to make a difference for some of them.

After 8 years at Canada Wood, Fred stepped down and is now the Principal of Spoke Strategic Solutions, a consulting company with a China focus. Fred has been living and working in Shanghai since 2003. He has an extensive background in China, which dates back to 1987, working both in foreign affairs and managing international companies. Fred was also the Executive Director of the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) based in Toronto and served on both the CCBC & the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Boards in Shanghai. He has filled other overseas roles in Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. In the private sector he has guided international clients in the development of their China strategies. Fred speaks reasonable Mandarin, as well as several other languages. Fred has an MBA degree from the University of British Columbia.


David Danvers

David Danvers has an extensive business background spanning over 30 years, beginning his career in the United States with NCR Corporation. Based in Shanghai, David was responsible for leading NCR’s APAC strategy from Shanghai. His desire to see Chinese companies succeed in doing business with the West drove David to start his own consulting business in Shanghai. David helped his clients enhance their brand image, improve their sales and profitability and provide better customer service through more effective English communication skills. Throughout his life, David has had a heart for the poor and the needy. He has been a friend of CRC for many years and has volunteered for corporate visits, Packing Parties, and in various consulting roles and office needs.


Benedict Young

Ben a partner in a law firm here in Shanghai. He has specialized in Intellectual Property Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate and Environmental Protection Law. Ben has extensive experience in Corporate and Civil Dispute Litigation. Ben has written and published numerous articles related to Environmental Protection Law and Intellectual Property Law in China and has also written business intelligence reports on China foreign investment.

Ben is from British Columbia, Canada. He first came to China in 2003 and has traveled extensively while based in Beijing and Shanghai. He received his law degree from Fudan University where he was the first and only foreigner to be accepted, graduate, and receive the scholarship for excellence from Fudan University’s Law Department. Ben also completed the Advance Chinese Language and Chinese Business Program in Tsinghua University.

Ben shows his enthusiasm on the social public-spirited associations and is involved in influential charity groups, environmental groups, and public interest groups.


Jackie Chan

Jackie has more than 16 years of experience in the tax industry of which, the first 10 years were spent in professional firms such as Ernst & Young and KPMG, before joining Lear Corporation (Shanghai) Limited (“Lear Shanghai”) in 2008 working as a Tax Director. His prime responsibility as a Tax Director of Lear Shanghai is to oversee the tax matters in the Asia Pacific region covering Korea, Japan, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, India, Singapore, Thailand and Mauritius. In December 2012, Jackie won the award of Tax Risk Management Practitioner of the Year, which was jointly organized by Thomson Reuters and GTS. Jackie is a FCCA of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) and a member of Tax Executives Institute, Inc (“TEI”) – Asia Chapter.

Dima is originally from the Ukraine but currently calls Shanghai his home. He is the President of the DongHau University International Student Association while attending the university for Business Administration.
